Summer has arrived, with endless activities to enjoy outdoors. From beach outings and backyard barbecues to hiking adventures and picnics in the park, there are countless ways to savor the warm weather. At BTSCF we have a lot on fun in the works for this summer. Check out what’s happening!
Independence Day Hours
We will offer classes at 8:15 and 9:30 am. All other classes are canceled. We wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday!
Port Jervis Soap Box Derby
Each year a group of our members and coaches volunteer to spend the day at the PJ Soap Box Derby helping to load and unload cars throughout the day.
We love this event for our local community and it’s a great and fun way to use our fitness while giving back!
DL Pizza & BBQ
Thank you to everyone who came out for DL, Pizza, and BBQ! It was such a fun event bringing everyone together to have some fun lifting weights and eating food. We loved seeing everyone testing their deadlift. Stay tuned! We are planning another event!
Monthly Challenges
Beginning in July, we are holding a fun monthly challenge to our members to enter and win. All athletes who participate will pay an entry fee which goes directly into the prize pool. At the end of the month, the male and female winners will collect the total pot from entries. The more who participate, the bigger the prizes!
The first challenge will be a max unbroken bar hang. How long can you hold on for? Join the challenge and sign your name on the board!

Meet Max Ferrara
When did you start CrossFitting?
I started crossfit at BTSCF back in 2019 at the old box in PA. I didn't last long because i started a new job and my schedule conflicted with classes. I would say my real start date was back in october 2023.
What brought you to CrossFit?
The wife, crossfit changed her life in a positive way and i thought i could get the same benefit from attending classes on regular basis.
What have you learned from doing CrossFit?
That i can regain the mobility i slowly lost throughout the years with a sedentary life.
What would you say to someone who is on the fence about starting CrossFit?
Every WOD can be scaled and tailored to every individual, the community will support and encourage you to do your best.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Spend genuine time with the family.
What do you do for work and how has CrossFit impacted how you do your job?
I run an Annex building of a distribution center for a large home improvement company,I walk 20,000 steps/day, crossfit keeps my stamina on walking the building several times a day.
